Neuro-Logics represents EEG Spectrum International (EEGSI) in Africa. EEGSI is the leader in Neurotherapy Education for professionals and is based in Los Angeles , USA.
The goal of EEGSI and Neuro-Logics is to help provide both education and support to health professionals entering the field. Education is critical in helping clinicians use Neurotherapy effectively. Neurotherapy is a modality that can impact a lot of people. It is important that professionals have the training and support to utilise it appropriately.
Through its training and affiliate network, EEGSI helps support the largest network of professionals in the world who use and share information about Neurotherapy. Once a year, EEGSI's Clinical Interchange Conference attracts psychologists, psychiatrists, and many other mental health professionals from around the world to exchange ideas and research information and learn from each other.
Another division of EEGSI, Neurocybernetics, Inc., produces the instrumentation that is used by the majority of professionals who attend the EEGSI training courses. The Neurocybernetics Neurotherapy equipment is FDA approved.
Neuro-Logics has been practicing Neurotherapy for approximately five years in South Africa , helping clients suffering from ADD/ADHD, depression, epilepsy, TBI and other neural dysregulations . Mitzi Claassen has attended numerous courses presented by EEGSI and is a fully qualified trainer for EEGSI.
Neuro-Logics, in conjunction with EESI, has trained more than 40 professionally registered psychologists, doctors, occupational therapists and neurophysiologists in the use of the NeuroCybernetics Neurotherapy equipment in South Africa . Neuro-Logics is bound by the EEGSI distribution agreements to sell the equipment for Clinical use, to professionally registered individuals only. In South Africa , individuals must be registered with the HPCSA.
There are various components to getting started with Neurotherapy in your practice:- Purchasing the relevant software and hardware and setting-up the Clinical system
- Successfully completing the EEGSI SMR Neurotherapy training course
- Practicing Neurotherapy , with ongoing supervision with a supervisory neurotherapy therapist and User group discussions
- Practicing Neurotherapy on friends, family and on yourself
- Join the Neurotherapy Association of Africa (NAA). This is a body which has been established to ensure ethical and professional practice of Neurotherapy by its members and to disassociate members from Neurotherapy therapists who are not suitably qualified and who do not have the necessary experience.
- Attend the monthly EEGSI User Group managed by Neuro-Logics, where relevant topics are discussed and debated and information is shared.
- Attend additional courses offered by Neuro-Logics to enhance therapists' skills and to ensure they are kept up to date with latest skills development in the field of Neurotherapy.
- Join the EESI International Affiliate Group to access different information groups which include EEG Basics, Case List, EEG Business, EEG Spectrum, Spectrum Chat and NeuroCybernetics. A seventh list, QEEG, is available upon request.
- Attend the EEGSI Clinical Interchange Conference held annually in Los Angeles , USA .
